Dana 80 Billet Main Caps - D80BC

Dana 80 steel billet main caps. Includes mounting bolts. These are NOT recommended for street use. The bolt holes in the axle housing MUST be bottom tapped (1/2" 13) before installation to allow for more thread engagement. We recommend that the carrier be bolted in without the ring gear installed to ensure that it spins freely with no binding. For street use these would need to be line honed to match the housing. We have used these on our 2.6" shop truck with great results. If setup properly, the life of the ring and pinion can be dramatically increased. They are best if used in conjunction with a differential cover that utilizes load bolts for the carrier caps.
